Nate started fly fishing 35 years ago and spent three seasons guiding in Alaska. He was a research scientist at the University of Washington for 17 years, and now leads the Salmon Ecology Team at NOAA’s Southwest Fisheries Science Center. He lives in Santa Cruz with his wife, two kids, and two mini-golden retrievers.
