Michael Wier

Michael is one of the fishiest people we know. Growing up in the Sierra Foothills, he was always close to nature and spent time exploring lakes and rivers, learning to fly fish at a young age. He's been a professional snowboarder and fly fishing guide and In 2001, started BURL Productions, a company specializing in adventure and outdoor films. Notable titles to his credit include Trout Bum Dairies 1, SOULFISH, SOULFISH 2 and CALI RUSH. Mike works for the conservation nonprofit, California Trout as a roving media guru who traverses the state to visit their projects and help tell compelling stores through video, photos and print. He is a Patagonia Fly Fishing Ambassador and an ambassador for Dragon Eyewear, Loon Outdoors, Galvan Reels and Outcast Boats.
