Sean Stiny grew up in Northern California, camping in Lassen and fly fishing along Hat Creek. Today he can be found along the McCloud or the Upper Sacramento, or leading a few ducks in the Sacramento Valley. A writer, woodworker, and owl box maker, he lives in Petaluma, California. His writing has appeared in Backcountry Journal, Grit Magazine, Bend Magazine, Kelp Journal, Wild Roof Journal, and Cal Waterfowl.
