A Fly Fishing Treasure
Congratulations on your outstanding publication. It made me think of Gray’s Sporting Journal, but a notch or two better. I totally enjoyed every page and look forward to future issues. Thank you for your efforts in producing this first-class, soon-to-be a classic, fly-fishing treasure.

Blown Away!
My issue came yesterday and it was like Christmas. So excited to see this amazing publication back in print AND digital.
Speaking of print, what an amazing job you guys did with the look, feel, and format!
Am I going overboard? Maybe, but having been in sales and marketing (yes, both) for my entire adult life, I think I have a pretty good handle on what it took to get this first issue to press. Not to mention the nerve to confront the risk of taking over.
Lastly, thank you for including a tribute to Richard Anderson, who started it all.
I was born and raised in NOCA, moved to NOCO and fished there and southern Colorado extensively for many years. I’m back now on the central coast (SLO), and your publication (recommended to me by Kiene’s, I might add) keeps me wandering the state in search of new and exciting places to fish and eat!
Lastly, a heartfelt thank you. I just wanted you to know how happy I am that CFF is back.

An A+
The website is wonderful. Thank you, thank you, thank you. California Fly Fisher was my last surviving subscription, and I almost cried when I read Richard’s goodbye at the end of his last issue. And so, you all get an A+ for all the work you have put into saving and improving the magazine. It’s yours now. The digital issue is amazing. I just read the first editorial. Great job. And again, thank you.

Preference for Print
Thank you for continuing this publication. I am very grateful for the printed edition. The reason is simple: when I am outdoors camping near a favorite fishing spot, I prefer to break out the printed version. Internet access is not always available in remote locations. I look forward to future editions.

Thanks to you and Richard
It is such great news that we once again have California Fly Fisher to read and drive our fishing knowledge and ability forward. Thanks to both Richard and the new team at CFF.
Richard, your dedication and ability to produce such a lasting legacy is unmatched. We’ll miss you, personally, on these pages, but you and what you’ve accomplished will be remembered always. To the new team, good luck, and count on me to be an asset to you and the readers of this restart of California Fly Fisher.

Great Memories
George, glad to see the magazine is back. I know you and your team will do a great job. I always look back at the San Mateo ISE fly fishing show, seeing you, Dustin, and your dad walking around and stopping to take everything in. It was a great event when you and Dustin took over the Buggy Nymph company from Tim Paxton. Great memories.
Good luck with your latest adventure.

Some Good News
Ironically, I only became aware of the magazine when a friend lent me an issue in late 2023….Yep, that was the last one, and it was absolutely full of great info on fly fishing in California. I contacted Mr. Anderson and was very sorry to have confirmation that he was closing up shop. But he got back to me in the spring, telling me to be on the lookout for some good news, and here it is! Absolutely brilliant to have the old archived articles as well! What a treasure trove. Thank you!

CORRECTIONS
Thank you to Erik Eugene Peterson for pointing out that we spelled André Puyans’ last name incorrectly in the Summer issue. As someone who worked, fished, and guided with André, Mr. Peterson also shared that the AP nymph does, in fact, stand for Puyans’ name and not “All Purpose.”
