About the Artist
I am an artist and illustrator with a background in Web design, graphic design, and marketing. I’ve been an artist my entire life, inspired by my late grandmother, oil painter and former Associated Press courtroom artist Rosalie Ritz. I attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, and received a bachelor of arts in environmental studies with an emphasis on science interpretation through art.

After college, I moved to Truckee, California, to rock climb with my husband. I taught myself acrylic painting techniques, volunteered for an art council, and started integrating science illustration into large paintings.

My artwork about fishing and the outdoors reflects my love of playing outside. Living near Lake Tahoe affords me endless places to play. From rock climbing, to mountain biking, to fishing, to snowboarding, I draw inspiration from my environment. As my style continues to evolve, the serenity of the natural world remains a constant denominator in my art.
I continue to exhibit my art around the Reno/Tahoe region.
