ELIGIBILITY
1. ELIGIBILITY
The Reel Stories Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of California Fly Fisher, LOOP Tackle, and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of any such employee, officer, or director are not eligible to enter or win.
The Giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
PROMOTION PERIOD
2. PROMOTION PERIOD
The Giveaway begins on April 4, 2026 at 12:00 AM Pacific Time (“PT”) and ends on May 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT (the “Promotion Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Promotion Period will not be eligible. The Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device for this Giveaway.

During the Promotion Period, eligible entrants may enter the Giveaway by one of the following methods:
Online Entry Form: Complete and submit the official entry form at calflyfisher.com/reelstories. All required fields must be completed for the entry to be valid.
Email Entry: Send your response to the Giveaway prompt to reelstories@calflyfisher.com. Your email must include your full name, email address, and your response to the prompt: “Tell us which California water — river, stream, or lake — is worth fighting for.”
Limit one (1) entry per person, per household, regardless of entry method. Entries generated by script, macro, or other automated means are void. Incomplete, illegible, or otherwise non-conforming entries will be disqualified. The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries.
PRIZE
4. PRIZE
One (1) winner will receive a LOOP Tackle Single-Hand Rod, 9’ #5 (approximate retail value: “$950.00 USD”). No cash alternative or prize substitution is permitted, except that the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable for any reason. The prize is non-transferable. All taxes, fees, and other expenses related to acceptance and use of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Winner will receive an IRS Form 1099 for the approximate retail value of the prize as required by applicable law.

5. ODDS OF WINNING
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.
WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION
6. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
One (1) winner will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. The drawing will take place on or around June 1, 2026 and will be conducted by California Fly Fisher, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Giveaway.
The potential winner will be notified by email on or around June 1, 2026 using the email address provided at the time of entry. The potential winner must respond to the notification email within fourteen (14) days of the date the notification is sent. Failure to respond within this period, or if the notification email is returned as undeliverable, will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected in a subsequent random drawing under the same conditions. This process will repeat until a verified winner is confirmed.
The winner will be announced online at calflyfisher.com and in the next published issue of California Fly Fisher magazine following winner confirmation.

7. CONDITIONS OF WINNING
The potential winner may be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and, where permitted by law, a Publicity Release within the time period specified in the notification. If the potential winner is a minor in their jurisdiction of residence, the prize may be awarded to the winner’s parent or legal guardian. Non-compliance with any of these conditions, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

8. PRIVACY AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
By entering the Giveaway, entrants agree that their name, email address, and entry response may be collected and used by California Fly Fisher and shared with LOOP Tackle for marketing, editorial, and promotional communications purposes. Entrants will be added to the California Fly Fisher subscriber communications list. California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA); for more information see the California Fly Fisher Privacy Policy at calflyfisher.com/privacy.
To opt out of marketing communications, entrants may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in any email communication.
USE OF ENTRIES
9. RIGHTS TO ENTRIES
By submitting an entry, each entrant grants California Fly Fisher and LOOP Tackle a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and otherwise use the submitted response in any medium, including but not limited to print, digital, and social media, without further compensation, notification, or permission. Entrants warrant that their submitted responses are original, do not infringe any third-party rights, and that they have the full right to grant this license.

10. GENERAL CONDITIONS
The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or suspend the Giveaway or these Official Rules at any time for any reason, including if fraud, technical failures, or any other factors impair the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.
The Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the printing, offering, or announcement of any prize or in these Official Rules; incorrect or inaccurate entry information; technical failures of any kind; unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Giveaway; technical or human error that may occur in the administration of the Giveaway or the processing of entries; or any injury or damage to persons or property that may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Giveaway or receipt or use of any prize.
By entering, entrants agree to release and hold harmless California Fly Fisher, LOOP Tackle, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of participation in the Giveaway or acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.
DISPUTES & GOVERNING LAW
11. DISPUTES AND GOVERNING LAW
These Official Rules and any dispute arising out of or related to this Giveaway shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Marin County, California. By entering, each entrant irrevocably consents to the jurisdiction of such courts.
To the extent permitted by law, entrants agree that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Giveaway shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action.
